Drinks and dinner in Harry’s New York Bar before adjourning to your private box in the Auditorium Stravinski for the evenings star performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival.  You’ll have a private champagne bar and an eagle’s eye view of tonight’s concert from your box but of course you can wander down and mingle with the crowds in the auditorium. Founded in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become an international musical event hosting some of the world’s greatest performers including Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, BB King, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, The Pretenders, Simply Red, Dido, David Gray and Prince. After the concert return to Harry’s Bar or bathe yourself in the music at the Montreux Jazz Café until the sun rises.

Birthday day

After a leisurely start the following morning head off to the lofty heights above Montreux for an adrenalin thrill - mountain biking or paragliding! It’s a fabulous ride back down the mountain – the views are glorious and the trail is through vineyards, so where could be better to stop for refreshments? Enjoy the local hospitality, some wine and of course Swiss cheeses and other regional delicacies, before riding back to the shores of Lake Geneva.  Alternatively opt for a decent with wings – paragliding is the nearest experience to being a Peregrine falcon – graceful, magnificent and ethereal.

Early evening your vintage cars arrive to drive you to a private Chateau for your special private birthday party celebration.  Enjoy a drinks reception in the gardens overlooking the most spectacular views in the Alps, across the Lake Geneva to Evian and the French Alps, before adjourning to the main hall for your birthday banquet and dancing the night away.  The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Geneva.
