We take walking holidays seriously and carefully structure
our holidays with walker’s interests at the heart matters, so that you can enjoy every step of the way and share great camaraderie with like-minded
people. We only select the most beautiful wilderness areas and the remotest corners of the world.
We specialise in offering small group luxury walking holidays in distant lands, where having everything organised for you is essential. However remote or challenging the destination is, you can relax knowing there is full professional back-up support, with a team on the ground and back at our head office.
We are continually researching new walking destinations which offer easy to moderate day walks below 2500m and looking for exceptional hotels that suit lovers of the countryside. We like to use village tracks and rural footpaths that link small remote communities so that you get to meet the local folk as well as enjoying fabulous scenery. We search out rural retreats with great views that offer homely comforts including ensuite rooms and good wholesome food.
Our walking leaders are exceptional people; they are qualified Mountain Leaders from the UK experienced in working abroad and safety procedures, they are adaptable and caring and always friendly. Walks are tailored to suit you and your preferences. We look for either circular or one-way routes of usually 5 – 8 miles in length, but with our own transport on hand we can even offer half-day options. We walk slowly but the pace is up to you and with a team of 3 guides we can offer a choice to suit most people.
We are trusted for our excellence, the personal service and value for money we provide. Everything is organised and included for you. We secure the most direct travel and the best accommodation arrangements available, providing an exceptionally high level of comfort and maximising the amount of time spent walking. We do not cut corners and there are no hidden extra costs. An accompanying travel director takes care of all the arrangements and logistics, and acts as a second walking guide. The local walking guide provides further assistance and information on the fauna and flora and local customs.
Each year we select different walking destinations and each holiday has just one departure date for 10 – 18 walkers.

Photographic Journey and walk to Lo-manthang in Mustang, Nepal with Pete Hawkins
12 – 30 September 2012 Lo Manthang 3,800m, is the 15th century capital of the former Kingdom of Lo. The Lobas its inhabitants are closely related culturally and ethnically to Tibetans and many of the ancient rituals and ceremonies are still performed. Lomanthang was closed to the outside world until 1992 and even today the number of visitors are limited. There is no other place like Lomanthang – it is a unique settlement and can only be reached on foot from Jomsom.

What our world-class experts say...
"I am very privileged to have walked in some of the world's most outstanding walking destinations over the last sixteen years, as
the walking leader with Spencer Scott's walking groups. Working for Spencer Scott is different; trips are meticulously planned and we travel slowly
through remarkable landscapes meeting the wonderful local people. We stay in fabulous lodges and I have formed long-lasting friendships with many of
the like-minded walkers from the parties."
