Simon King is one of the most respected and popular television presenters - and features in the Spring & Autumn Watch series and the Big Cat Diary from The Mara. Simon is an outstanding photographer and filmmaker and has received EMMY & BAFTA awards for his work in Planet Earth, Blue Planet and Life in the Freezer. Simon is a passionate, enthusiastic, gentle and caring naturalist, as portrayed in 'Toki's Tale' a moving documentary about a rescued cheetah. We consider it an honour and privilege to once again be planning a safari early in 2010 with Simon.

Last year Simon King helped handpick a very special and exclusive safari which took a small party of our clients to The Mara where he had just finished filming the live transmission of the Big Cat Diary TV series and to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, where he has been filming three 'boy' cheetahs for several years. See Simon on last year's safari with our guests.

We are hoping to offer a similar safari with Simon in 2010 - you will be travelling in style and staying in luxury camps. You will fly Upper Class to and from Kenya, and on private planes within Kenya, so the maximum amount of time is spent in the bush. Exclusive use of camps and 4-WD vehicles will make this a very personal safari. Our camps in Kenya are as luxurious as they can be in the bush. There are no fences so you get a genuine bush experience and close to nature, as well as fine linens, proper beds, hot showers, flush toilets, gourmet cuisine, an open bar and even a swimming pool!

This will be an exceptional safari. The game is prolific in both The Mara and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and besides the 'Big Five' - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, you will see cheetah, wildebeest, gazelles, hyenas, hippo, jackal, Grevy and common zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and a variety of antelope including kudu, Oryx, gerenuk and sitatunga, bushbabies, Spring hare, aardvark, genet cat and many bird species.

Simon King will be with you every day and will provide as much information as possible in an informal and relaxed manner. On a more formal basis he will discuss projects and experiences with a couple of 'screenings' or slide shows providing the opportunity for individual questions and answers. Sammy is very knowledgeable local driver-guide who works closely with Simon when he is filming in Africa and he will also be with you every day, helping to locate animals and the most exciting activity.

We are trusted for our excellence, the personal service and value for money we provide. Everything is included on this safari and no compromises have been made. An accompanying safari director takes care of all the arrangements and logistics, freeing Simon King to focus on finding really special wildlife experiences to share with you.

We are continually researching new locations, camps and lodges and re-visiting old ones to ensure that our product knowledge is up-to-date and accurate, so that we can offer you new experiences and the best chances of seeing species. You can also relax knowing that everything will be organised for you, that you will be well cared for and that there is full professional back-up support, with a team on the ground and back at our head office.

Just 10 people will be joining Simon King on our safari in 2010.
