Your wedding guests travel by train to Agra in private carriages and upon arrival there is a welcome champagne lunch at the Oberoi Armavilas. In the afternoon enjoy watching a traditional elephant polo match. This evening you will be guests of a Maharajah at a private drinks reception.
Relax this morning with another private yoga session or spa treatment in preparation for your special day and before the hairdresser arrives. There is a morning’s visit to the Taj Mahal for your guests followed by brunch in the hotel. Early afternoon the specially decorated bride and groom’s elephants and veiled palanquins arrive to take you to a private garden overlooking the Taj Mahal for your Royal Indian wedding banquet. A fanfare of traditional wedding musicians lead the procession with your guests walk behind the entourage. Rickshaws will be available for any guests who do not wish to walk. The garden will be lavishly furnished with carpets, cushions and muslin drapes as well as fresh flowers, delicate incense, water features, candles and mirrors. There will be Punkah wallahs gently wafting cloth fans to keep you cool and tea lounges, champagne bars and vodka fountains. Classical Indian musicians welcome you and your guests and will play discreetly during the champagne reception and wedding banquet. As the sun sets, the cake is cut and there is a spectacular fireworks show. A specially decorated wedding rickshaw awaits the bride and groom and traditional rickshaws take the guests back to their hotels.
